October Business Update

October Business Update

Hello again lovely people! If you’re anything like us, you’re probably in shock that another month has passed since we last arrived in your mailbox!
October has seen consistent growth for TABOO, the development of ideas, existing and new, and some exciting events that TABOO has had the privilege of being involved in.

We’ve launched a new social media campaign, showcasing our product alongside the foods and various other things that our customers crave on their period. Thank you to everyone who shared their cravings with us - the responses provided the team with some great entertainment! We’re currently developing ideas and opportunities for the Christmas period, so please get excited and stay tuned in for more information!

We were very honoured to have been placed as finalists of the Winnovation SA awards in September, and were lucky to attend the fabulous awards ceremony towards the beginning of October. Congratulations to the incredible, creative, hard working and innovative women who won the awards - it was amazing to learn more about the incredible things the female researchers and innovators are doing in SA.

The TABOO team also had the opportunity to visit the Catherine House annual GALA dinner this month. Catherine House is an organisation doing unbelievable work for women experiencing homelessness in SA. We really encourage you to learn more about what they do and the incredible need for their work. Towards the middle of the month, we were invited to speak at the Governor’s leadership foundation conference held at Cafe Outside The Square. This gave us the opportunity to talk to executives and people from many industries in Adelaide about our mission and business. The same day, some of the team headed up a great stall selling our product and merchandise to people attending the YMCA’s event celebrating 125 years of women’s suffrage in SA.

We’d like to make a big shout out to our Adelaide Uni TABOO club for hosting their first bake sale/merch drive in the hub last week! They did such an amazing job and received some great feedback which was very well deserved.
Meanwhile, sales have continued both online and at Malvern IGA as we work towards the first donation of our profit to OneGirl.
Thank you for your support over the past month everyone! Thank you for buying product, repping merchandise, sharing our mission with others and thank you for reading our newsletter! Have a great month!
Eloise and Izzy xx
