On Thursday the 22nd of August Taboo Sanitary Products celebrated the official launch of our organic cotton pads and tampons with a massive party at the stunning MOD on North Terrace. Though there was no official dress code, many of you donned your most snazzy red and pink get ups to show your support for Taboo, which absolutely filled our hearts with joy! After much planning the event went off without a hitch thanks to wonder women of Girl About Town, who helped with planning the event and all things PR related.
Everyone attending was treated to a delicious glass of Sparkling Pinot from Bird In Hand to get them in the celebratory spirit. And we weren't going to let our pals drink on an empty stomach, no ma'am! The amazing Grace Liebelt was kind enough to set up an amazing grazing table filled with scrumptious nibbles that went down a treat. Catering was also provided by our talented friend Angus Love who whipped up some amazing red and pink themed appetisers. Drinks were kept flowing all night by our amazing team of bar staff, many of whom are beloved friends of the Taboo crew.
After officially launching our shiny new commercial, created by the genius Jack Turner, Izzy and Eloise treated us all to one of the most heartfelt and lengthiest thank you speeches we've ever had the privilege of hearing. The girls had a long list of people to thank and this night was all about celebrating Taboo and the people who make it possible. And that's a lot of special people! The Taboo team popped a giant balloon filled with tampons and that's when the party really kicked off.
The Taboo Crew and friends danced the night away to sounds of Young Offenders and DJs Jack and Joe. We were also treated to a SPICEY dance performance from a very talented dance troupe that certainly spiced up our lives. The Taboo Shop was also incredibly busy all night. Thanks to everyone who bought pads, tampons or a t-shirt or cap! You rock our worlds.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the night such a success and who came along and celebrated with us. We hope you had as much fun as what we did, and judging from the photos, you definitely did!
