A lot has been on the go in August for the Taboo team. Izzy and Eloise recorded a Self Made Theory podcast with Ben Campbell that you can have listen to right here. The podcast interview is all about the social enterprise business model, making a difference, overcoming the challenges we have faced since starting TABOO and our journey from inception to today.
Friend of Taboo Charlie O’brien from Silent Noise Wine donated $2,000 to TABOO thanks to his commitment of donating $2 from every case of wine sold to the business. Last week, we caught up with Charlie and he handed over his first cheque of $2000 - a figure that represents so much of his hard work and generous spirit! We are so proud of Charlie and his efforts over the last few years. He is the brain and skills behind his wine label and he’s just 22! Committing a portion of his profit to us is an amazing example of his generosity and we are so pumped to turn that donation into part of our sustainable model that supports menstrual health and education projects around the word Thank you for sharing this journey with us Silent Noise! If you were looking for another reason to buy and enjoy a lovely bottle of something, perhaps Silent Noise’s support of world changing projects is it!!

Eloise has started the process of registering TABOO as a B-corp. Stay tuned for a long time to come because it’s a long process. The Taboo Team met with the new Treasurer at the ANU TABOO club in Canberra (via zoom). We're so proud and grateful for all the amazing and hard work the ANU club achieve. Nice one guys.
Izzy and Eloise presented at their first school presentation in a long time. They drove down to Maitland and talked to around 50 girls about menstrual health, biology and stigma for over an hour! Izzy also had the pleasure of speaking to the dentistry team at the AHMS and Eloise spoke on a panel for the Adelaide Uni entreprenur club.
Catch you next month boos xx
