February 2019 Business Update

February 2019 Business Update

February has been insane! We’re still riding on a high because documentary about menstruation just won an Oscar! Reflecting on the last month though, we realise there has been SO MUCH else to be thankful for too!

Early on in the month, one of our Directors Eloise came back safely from Indonesia with lots of knowledge about Indo politics, Women’s rights and how women deal with their period within that culture. Soon after, the designs of our pad and tampon packs were approved by all the necessary bodies which was super encouraging. HOPEFULLY, the production process will take place over the next couple weeks so that we can start getting our products into your bathrooms (or where ever else you keep these handy ol items)! We will certainly keep you updated :)

Our ambassadors have been super busy over February, hosting and organising fundraising brunches, movie nights, valentines day fundraisers and getting started on a documentary about TABOO’s journey. Our incredible ambassadors who have formed the TABOO ANU club held a stall at an o’week market and guess how many people signed up to the club?! Over 650!! We are so proud of the ambassadors, and are completely overwhelmed by the incredible support everyone has given to us, them and the whole TABOO family!

Another absolute highlight of the month has been confirming the addition of another beautiful team member! Zoe is going to look after everything website design and creative content related, powered by her amazing graphic design skills. She is based in Melbourne and we cannot wait to learn from her and share her awesome work with you all.

We are actually currently writing this business end update as we wait to be on channel 9 for a news segment! This will soon be a massive highlight from this month and we are so keen to see how it turns out. Earlier today we also had a photoshoot and interview for an article in The Eastern Courier. Both of these media stints have come from representing Fish Tank, a competition for start up business ideas that come from young people who live, work, study or play in Unley (South Australia).

Thank you for reading our update, friends! Have a lovely end to the month and we can’t wait to chat to you again next month.

xx Eloise and Izzy
