It’s the start of a new year and we are preparing ourselves for a big one!
Two main themes have been the focus of TABOO’s January; new team members and new retail opportunities!
We have been extremely blessed with an incredible, hardworking and skilled team thus far, and we are absolutely stoked to introduce 3 more amazing young women who have already contributed so positively to the culture and running of our business.
Izzy Reed met us at the TABOO launch party and subsequently made contact, demonstrating an interest in using her skills and experience to further TABOO’s mission. She is now our Education Administrator and will facilitate TABOO’s presence at schools and education facilities, as well as helping us to create some new and exciting ways to communicate and educate young women about their developing bodies!
Carrie Bishop got to know Eloise and Isobel through her work as a travel agent, helping to organise their trip to Kenya and India in 2018. She has had extensive experience working with various NFPs including OneGirl, and will use her knowledge to support and communicate with anyone who would like to contribute to TABOO as a volunteer in any capacity. Her degree in Event Management will also be a huge help as we organise various events hosted by TABOO throughout the year!
Caitlinn Tran made contact with TABOO, sharing with us her experience and passion for dealing with social media marketing. This was an absolute God-send, as we were in desperate need of someone to focus solely on our social media platforms. Check out Caitlinn’s business @borninoct, she designs and sells some awesome goodies! (We are particularly keen on her reusable bubble teacups!)
January has also seen the development of some exciting retail opportunities - unfortunately, we can’t reveal these details just yet but just remember to watch this space!
We also want to say a huge thanks to the team at ylead. These amazing guys and girls hosted Isobel as a keynote speaker at their Student Leaders Conference on the 24th of Jan. It was a huge privilege to talk to the students about Leadership in Action and why it is so important to take courage and make a change in the areas that you are passionate about.
We hope that you have had a restful and exciting January, boos! Cheers to a new year!
