February Business Update

February Business Update

February was an incredibly action packed month for the whole team and we simply cannot believe that it is March already! Still on a high from Izzy’s Young Australian of the year accolade, the TABOO business has had many incredible opportunities presented to us in February. So many we can barely keep up in fact.

As speaking engagements increase Izzy and Eloise did some speaking training. They also presented together at their old school, Walford. Eloise was luck enough to speak at a Renew Adelaide information session. Izzy and Eloise also attended the WellCity conference. There were more school presentations at Pembroke and Pedare and Izzy and Eloise spoke on the Broad Talk podcast with Virginia Hausseger. You can listen to the podcast here. Izzy also was in Sustainability Further podcast and presented a TEDx Talk for the University of Adelaide called ‘My Brain’s Period”. We unfortunately don’t have a link to the TEDx talk just yet, but stayed tuned to our socials for that one in not too distant future.

On February 15th Izzy spoke to the amazing women of the Spence Club for a networking event, covering all things TABOO and Period Poverty.

TABOO had a stall at the Flinders Uni Hub for O Week. Thanks Emma and Tash for manning the stall!

In the office we’ve been busily following up 20+ key contacts from awards presentations, submitting grant applications and working on the new design of our new website. Leesa Shannon from the Australia Day council held a long session with TABOO to help us map out the coming year and solidify the businesses goals. Thanks Lessa! TABOO was also featured as the cover story for SA Weekend magazine. You can read the story here.
