The TABOO Team has had another busy month for October with many exciting announcements made!
One of our most exciting announcements this month is that we are now stocked in Foodland across South Australia! This is a big and exciting step for TABOO’s growth into the retail space. Keep an eye out at your local Foodland for our pads and tampons!
Another exciting announcement is TABOO’s art exhibition, We Bleed, which will be open from the 26th to the 28th of November. We Bleed will explore many different cultural, physical, psychological and economical factors that contribute to this unique experience. We are asking our community to put aside social stigma and prejudice and consider the role periods play in the lives of 50% of our population, every single month. We Bleed is a platform for the creative expression of these experiences in a form that is tangible and accessible to everyone. Artists include Tsering Hannaford, Olympia Antoniadis, Emily Fennel among many others. Purchase tickets to We Bleed here.
To promote We Bleed, we had an amazing partnership Cup & Carry who specialise in custom printed packaging. We have printed artwork from the upcoming exhibition onto Cup & Carry’s takeaway coffee cups to be showcased in cafes around Adelaide. We have many cafe’s onboard using these coffee cups to promote the exhibition and the artwork - check out the cafes below!
Central: LOC, Everything Brewtiful, Peter Rabbit, My Kingdom for a Horse and St Raphaels
East: Pickle in the Middle, Tell Henry, Argo on the Parade, The Coffee Pedlar and Hustle
West: Karma + Crow and Bloom
October also saw the start of a beautiful partnership with fashion label, Significant Other. Until the 11th of November for every online sale Significant Other has, they will donate a pack of TABOO pads toward our Pad it Forward program. Our Pad it Forward program is designed to support those in Australia experiencing or at risk of period poverty. Significant Other has beautiful clothing, so get shopping and support us in the process!
Thanks for the support boos, we will chat next month!
