September Business Update

September Business Update

As usual, this month was another busy time for the TABOO team as we are on the cusp of announcing a number of exciting projects that work toward our mission!
With the end of the year just around the corner, the core team dedicated time toward building internal structures that would allow for greater efficiency, growth and impact. Alongside some deep strategic planning, the team worked hard on tasks and projects, slowly brining them to fruition. Specifically, our Director of Health and Education, Isobel, has put in many hours on a creative project which explores representation of menstrual experiences - details to come next month!
Eloise, Isobel and Harriet stepped outside the office for a day and put on their working boots to stack and wrap palettes of our pads and tampons for a large South Australian retailer…we will announce this in October! With this larger order on it’s way to the shelves, we have been working on ordering a new batch of tampons from our manufacture - woohoo! Even more exciting is that these tampons will be more environmentally friendly than our current ones.
The TABOO team have also been out and about quite a bit in September. We have a stall at Bendigo Bank Norwood from the 20th of September to the 8th of October, selling our pads, tampons and merchandise. Tampons at a bank…we have received a few funny looks but are certainly making waves in sharing our mission with a new group of people! Isobel and Eloise have also been out sharing our mission speaking at an Australia Post event, American Chamber of Commerce SA session and Australian of the Year Breakfast.
Our podcast, The Flow, has been releasing new episodes every week. The month of September saw Isobel and Eloise be interviewed in two separate episodes. We had the honour of interviewing 2021 Australian of the Year, Grace Tame about her experiences with sexual assault and trauma, and the need to legislative reform. Our last episode of September kicked off a three part series on endometriosis with Dr Louise Hull.
Thank you for your support, we can't wait to see what we get up to next month!
